Make it a BIG event! Enroll your neighbors, families, and friends and have a neighborhood garage sale event. Buyers are attracted to sales where there is more than one sale involved so they can do more shopping at once.
Share you garage or yard! If you have friends who live in apartments or only have a few things to sell, have them register their garage sale at your address.
Expand your sale items! Add items to sell besides your well-used treasures. Have a bake sale, sell some lemonade, and fire up the grill! Create some games for the kids to be entertained while the parents shop.
Be a good steward with unsold items. Don't throw your unsold items out in the trash where they will take up space in the landfill. Donate them to a Goodwill Donation Center near you. Goodwill uses these items to create opportunities for others. Go to www.goodwill.org to find a location near you.
